Zona Alfa

Been scouring the net for suitable miniatures for Zona Alfa. So far the ones I like the most have been Pig Iron Productions Kolony Milita. I am looking at the Kolony Militia-Demi Platoon with 21 miniatures in it. It will make it possible to make to reasonable sized gangs with some heavy weapons options. I am also considering getting the Kolony Militia - Veteran Squad with 9 more miniatures. Unfortunately, the demi platoon is sold out currently.

Which brings me to the next obstacle. I am currently allowed to buy 11 miniatures. So I need to paint 10 more to get just the demi-platoon. And 19 miniatures in total if I want to get the Veteran Squad as well. Luckily I am painting like a madman this week so it looks like I will have about 6 goblins ready as well as a few fantasy civilians and a wizard or two. Still there's a bit of way to get 19 miniatures done.

I must confess that the more I read about the rules the nicer they seem. It's like a fine little toolbox for simple games. That said I am trying to see if I can incorporate some kind of AI into it for solo play. This may end with some kind of mutation of the reaction system from Two Hour Wargames - but let's what I can work out. These things are usually easier when done from the start of writing a rule set.

Allowed to buy

So this week's effort brought me to 20 models I can buy. I need 21 for the Pig Iron Productions Kolony Militia and another 9 for the veteran squad. So, all in all, I need to paint up 10 more models if I want to buy everything. It will be interesting to see if I can manage that next week.

Backed kickstarters

I backed Citizen of the Old World 2.0 - 28mm Heroic Scale miniatures at the farmer level. I only plan to get the witch (and maybe one other miniature - but not sure about that yet.)

A good thing about kickstarter backings is that my pledges are getting smaller. Now I just wonder when my "Superbacker" tag goes away :P
